On 26th September 2014 the Attorney General’s Department approved my application to become an Authorised Marriage Celebrant. A dream come true, and a whole new world of happiness ahead.
Receiving that official letter in the mail filled me with so many emotions, and the reality that I had been afforded the privilege to celebrate this milestone moment with couples and I did not take that responsibility lightly.
Setting up a small business and finding my unique way to ensure the difference I offer to my couples to bring their dreams to life has been ever evolving since that first day. I never want to be complacent and say “that’s how I do it”! For me, its all about immersing myself into listening, helping and creating the best ceremony experience for my couples, so when they take that big step and wed, it’s a happy, relaxed and no stress experience. My aim is for couples to feel comfortable and confident in my services.
I'm proud of what I provide to help couples as we work together to create their ceremony. I know their personal vows can be a real dilemma, so I have all the resources and personal help so they create exactly what they want to say and I create their vows cards and give them a personalised copy of their ceremony to celebrate that magical day when they wed.
Sadly, covid heavily impacted the wedding industry and then financial constraints have affected so many households with higher mortgages and cost of living which has seen a change with many couples opting for smaller weddings, elopements or micro weddings.
Happily, its still about their pure love for each other, and creating a magical moment to become legally married with beautiful memories to cherish, however they decide their day will be.
I've married close to 500 couples, and I currently have nearly 100 couples booked and ready to marry as their wedding date rolls around. Every couple’s dreams are different, and their day is special. I work to ensure we capture the essence of their personal love story and what they want reflected in their story on the big day.
I've enjoyed celebrating naming ceremonies for babies or as part of their child’s first birthday celebration. I love the personal moments when couples renew their vows of marriage, which is another wonderful moment between a couple as we capture the essence of their love story since the day they wed, what they have achieved or endured, and their loving focus to share the future together.
When the government approved Marriage Equality, there was much and it’s a joy we can now formalise loving relationships for every couple who wish to wed!
Throughout it all, I have been humbled by the beautiful testimonials and feedback my couples have given. My wonderful couples have kindly voted for my Celebrant Services in the annual awards, and I am so delighted to have been awarded #1 Celebrant 2024 and #1 Celebrant 2022 in the Wedding Industry Awards. As part of the ABIA industry, I have been rated 99.9% every year and celebrated these high ratings at the annual awards ceremonies.
I have mentored dozens of celebrants over the years, always wanting to give back and support new Celebrants as they start their unique and individual way to create ceremonies for their couples.
I have been fortunate to establish trusting working relationships with so many other wedding suppliers. I've even married some of my people more than once – when their first wedding didn’t work out BUT they came straight back to me for their 2nd wedding to a new partner, and I have truly loved their trust to engage me a 2nd time, and be professional with their decisions to create the dream.
I’ve often said I have the best job ever! It’s a role I never take lightly, and I have loved every moment working with my couples, meeting their bridal party, family and friends, and sharing in these life changing moments in their lives as they wed or celebrated a naming of their beautiful child, or renewed their vows to each other.
I love working with my couples and meeting proud and emotional relatives and friends. I have loved making people laugh and watching them cry happy tears, solving problems, dressing up, visiting beautiful venues, and observing talented wedding professionals work their magic.
I know the importance of moving out of the way for the key moments throughout the ceremony, such as when the rings are engaged, and the kiss when I declare my couples as married! What a moment it is and its all about those amazing photos your photographers are capturing and it NOT about having your celebrant’s face in the way.
I value the heartfelt hugs, tears and happiness at these celebrations, knowing I have been part of something truly special in my couple’s lives, and I never take that moment for granted!

To my loving partner, kids and grandkids, thanks for supporting me every step of the way. They know to block out anything important in my diary, or to expect me to arrive a little late at family events after a wedding, because that’s my job.
It’s an honour, my greatest passion, and the BEST EVER experience driving away from a wedding having seen my couples so happy and being part of such a significant moment for them.
