thinking it can be daunting knowing where to start. Personalising your wedding vows can be a lovely way to add something special to your ceremony but it's also daunting. I love to work with you to make designing your ceremony an easy and stress-free process, and importantly give you a wealth of information on writing kick-butt vows to
share with your forever love on the big day!
Lots of couples I have worked with (and that’s also the brides, not just the grooms) are worried their vows may
sound too mushy or soppy, and so they hold back from including anything too personal. But in my experience,
guests are delighted with mushy and sentimental vows, particularly if the couple aren’t usually overly romantic
in public. After all, if you can’t be mushy on your wedding day, when can you?
And let’s not forget, your wedding day is about the two of you and the commitment you are making to each
other. Your guests are there to witness your happiness and to be part of the celebrations.
Personalising your vows is one of the best ways to make your wedding unique and memorable. In fact, at so
many ceremonies I have heard guests say how special it was to see the love and emotions with the couple as
they shared their heartfelt personal vows!

What to Capture in your vows
Inspiration is everywhere! Just don’t be scared to think outside the box and use something that really defines
your relationship. I will help you design the right words that truly captures your very loving relationship.
Whether you add in funny antidotes, lots of emotions, sporting conflicts, being the brave partner to ensure
spiders and other creepy crawlies are quickly managed, or your loving thoughts for your future together, your
personal vows should reflect just what your partner means to you, and how amazing your future together will
be.
Help Every Step of the Way
I work closely with all of my couples, to ensure the style and importantly the length of the vows are similar. Its
important there is no surprise on the day with failing to add in more detail than the other partner provides.
You won't be embarrassed with vows that are greatly mis-matched and leaving you feeling like you have
absolutely not captured the essence of your love for each other! I have your backs and will work to ensure the
essence of the vows remains a secret until the big day, BUT ensure both of you have the same tone and length
to your vows.
Do You Have to Include Personal Vows?
The legal wedding vows are an important part of the ceremony. You do not have to include personal vows;
however it enables you to reflect on your relationship and say what your love means to you and the promises for
your future together.
The Vows to each other don’t have to be exactly the same; you can say separate words reflecting your love and
commitment to each other. Write special vows from the heart or include any funny thoughts about your
relationship and why you are a loving couple.
On the Big Day!
I will have your vows printed on professional vow cards ready for this lovely moment in your ceremony. I will
hand the vow card to you at the right moment during the ceremony, so you don't have to worry about having
them crumpled in your pockets, and they look fabulous to your guests and in your professional photos. This
gives you the chance to relax and know you have created the perfect vows that is something very special to
share with the one person who has captured your heart!
